Tonight, Oliver got his first taste of "real food"!! i've been wondering if the "little" guy has been needing a little something more...he's constantly nursing and i feel like i'm always running on "empty"! So, tonight on the way out to Grandma Lois' house we stopped by the grocery store and picked up some rice cereal...

yum, yum! i think he really liked it...he ate a few bites. it was very runny, so it was hard to say how much stayed in his mouth and how much ran out and just how much wound up on his fingers!!

i bet this will make a difference - i have a feeling that he probably needed something a little more to 'stick to his ribs' --- i'm glad that he enjoyed his first experience with 'real' food!!
Yay!! Mason has been loving the cereal - just wait till Ollie reaches out for the spoon! That's fun - because if he's strong like Mason, the contents of the spoon will wind up elsewhere - but that's all part of the fun. I think we might try a vegetable here in the next week or so.
