Baby Oliver Clothes...
Here we go...this post is going to be completely pathetic! i took photos of all the clothes i bought for Oliver while shopping yesterday in Mankato!! But they are just waaay too cute not to take photos of them and share!!
Yesterday, Liz and Jenny and i met in Mankato and had a fun-filled day of shopping. i think we shopped from about 11-4 (with a little break in there for eating at Panera Bread!). Yes, i was completely tired out at the end of the day!! But it was worth it!! And my tootsie-toesies were pretty sore too...but that is my own fault (as Brandon says) since i insisted on wearing my cute purple shoes instead of my comfy tennis shoes!!

Herberger's was having their Goodwill sale...so this little comfy outfit was a super good price...for this coming fall.

i had this little sweater from a trip to Babies R Us...but no pants, so i was finally able to find a pair yesterday that matched!! i think this going to be his coming home outfit. With the cute little booties that Lisa made!! and the little white hat that Brandon's grandma Elsie made.

Photos of the Lundquist's
This afternoon, after work i went over to jenny's house and took their photos! i absolutely love taking their photos...they are the best!! Such a cute family...not to mention just how cute the kids are!! Finally super nice weather is here...so that meant outdoor photos!!
a visit from Mason...
Last night Jon and Nichole came over from Sioux Falls with their new little one!! This was the first time Brandon and i got to meet the adorable little guy! He was born the 12th of February weighing in at 7 lbs 4 oz. With all that hair!!
So, we had a dinner last night with Jon and Nichole and also Travis and Kristin (here in Blue Earth) and their 6 month old, Aubrey. Nothing too spectacular...just grilled burgers and brats! But it was fun to get together with everyone!!

another scrapbook!!
The day before yesterday i was in a cleaning mood here at the store. i tossed tons of outdated catalogs that were piling up under the counter in the scrapbook store...but saved 2 of them to convert over to a scrapbook. Making Memories has the neatest catalogs...they look like a scrapbook! So i just covered the front and back with cute paper and ran a strip of ribbon down the binding (there are words on the black binder). And the inside is a 6-ring binder...so it's going to work perfect for adding pages! i cut up a bunch of cardstock...all different colours and some with little "tabs"...just waiting to be filled with photos of little Oliver!!

An attempt on Monday...
Well, we attempted to have our little one on Monday. We went in bright and early for an induction! That meant Sunday was spent cleaning the house and doing laundry...packing for the next morning and hardly sleeping at all in anticipation for the following morning!
We went to the hospital at 7:30a...got checking in and all settled in the room. The doctor came in...he wanted to break my water, but we didn't feel comfortable with that (i really really want to avoid having a c-section!!) so they started me on pitocin. After a little while i could feel it starting to work!! Our hopes were high!! But, even though i was having contractions (fun to watch on the monitor!) they were not consistent...they were 4-5 minutes apart, but after 4 or 5 contractions there would be a long pause before another one would come. And still no cervical change...i was still only dilated to a 2. Bummer. So they upped the meds and i could feel them coming on stronger and some of them were closer together...hopefull again! But after doing this a couple times...the doctor said we could just go home! So, we were there from 7:30a-4p with no baby to show for it!! We were sooo disapointed...but the little guy has to come eventually!!

The day was super boring!! i had brought a couple magazines to look at...we had a tv...and brandon had his crossword puzzle book...but it's still rather boring!! So i would talk on the phone to mom, liz, jessica and jenny...it was so cute, they would call off and on "just to see if there was any news"!! Thank goodness for good friends!!
So, now i guess we are just going to wait a little longer and see when Oliver wants to come and see us!!!

more of Ollie's room
Finally, today i decided to put photos in some frames for the baby's room. Jenny had given me these super cute white frames...they did have a little print in them with matting, but it didn't go with the bedroom. So, i printed off a few of the photos that Jenny had taken of Brandon and i and cut new mats for them (love having a frame shoppe at my fingertips!!). The green in the photo is not exactly the right shade...but i didn't feel like going back in and taking another photo!! So, now i think i have accomplished everything i wanted to do in little Oliver's room!! And of course, once he's here...i'll just have to take photos of him and put those in the frames!! i have a feeling they are going to be changed out frequently!!
38 weeks
Brandon really wanted to take a photo of my belly a couple nights ago...he said it was looking so cute and big!! (i think that was a compliment!!) Yep, it's definitely looking much larger now...but that will mean we'll have a nice healthy baby...hopefully really soon!!

We had a doctor's visit last Thursday and everything was really good. i was super excited when he said i was dilated to a 1!!! i was kind of hoping for a 2...but i'll take a 1!! That means things are going good and this little babe is getting ready to see us!! We go to the doctor again on Friday (Friday the 13th!!) so we'll see how things are going then!!
Over the weekend...
This past weekend, my family came down for a visit!!
i got a call from dad on wednesday evening asking what we were doing that coming weekend...not too much happens around here on a weekend...so we were free! dad said they were thinking of coming down for a visit before the baby was born!!
So, down they came on Friday evening!! Lots of fun...chatting, eating and going bowling! and Ceara, Laura and Lisa stayed late here on Saturday night to watch The Dark Knight with me!! For some reason...i didn't take a single photo!
Thanks for coming down for a visit guys...it was great to see everyone again...and hopefully we'll see you guys again soon!! (they are going to come down for a visit after the baby is born too!!)
