Well, we attempted to have our little one on Monday. We went in bright and early for an induction! That meant Sunday was spent cleaning the house and doing laundry...packing for the next morning and hardly sleeping at all in anticipation for the following morning!
We went to the hospital at 7:30a...got checking in and all settled in the room. The doctor came in...he wanted to break my water, but we didn't feel comfortable with that (i really really want to avoid having a c-section!!) so they started me on pitocin. After a little while i could feel it starting to work!! Our hopes were high!! But, even though i was having contractions (fun to watch on the monitor!) they were not consistent...they were 4-5 minutes apart, but after 4 or 5 contractions there would be a long pause before another one would come. And still no cervical change...i was still only dilated to a 2. Bummer. So they upped the meds and i could feel them coming on stronger and some of them were closer together...hopefull again! But after doing this a couple times...the doctor said we could just go home! So, we were there from 7:30a-4p with no baby to show for it!! We were sooo disapointed...but the little guy has to come eventually!!

The day was super boring!! i had brought a couple magazines to look at...we had a tv...and brandon had his crossword puzzle book...but it's still rather boring!! So i would talk on the phone to mom, liz, jessica and jenny...it was so cute, they would call off and on "just to see if there was any news"!! Thank goodness for good friends!!
So, now i guess we are just going to wait a little longer and see when Oliver wants to come and see us!!!

Mr. Oliver will arrive soon - he wants to enter the world on his own terms :). Mason sure did the same thing -only early. Love the stylin' hospital robe...you will be thankful for these pictures - perhaps they will find a home in the scrapbook somewhere.
what a little rebel he is already - (just like his mama!!) ha!
i know you're disappointed, but i'm glad that he decided to wait and come in his own time - he'll be here soon enough. savor the days you have left - and rest up, dear.
