More landscaping...

More landscaping...
Memorial Day Weekend we spent outside working on our yard...Bruce and Bonnie came over on Sunday and helped out too! (thank you guys!!)
We accomplished quite a bit that day...we finished up the planting, laying of the landscape plastic, laying the pavers and hauling the purple rock and raking the front yard and burning the sticks from the backyard and tidying up the garage (thanks Bonnie!) and taking Oliver for a couple walks!!

Bonnie...hanging out with Oliver!

the front of our house...and Bruce hauling a wheelbarrow load of purple rock. Brandon and Bruce were taking turns shoveling the rock from the pile in the back of the house and bringing it over to where it needed to be placed!

Bruce and Bonnie bringing a load of leaves and branches to the burn site.

This is the small trench for the pavers i was digging...pretty fun!

Here is the finished side of the house!

And here is the finished product of all of our hard work!!
and brandon watering the new plants...a task that we (mainly Brandon!) must do about twice a day!
a little more landscaping needs to be done still...hopefully in the next week or so!

Looks good! Doesn't it feel so good to look out your window and see a beautiful yard?! Plus think of what a lovely background you will have for taking pictures of Oliver!

Isn't hauling rock the best? Just kidding. It felt like it took us DAYS to get ours moved from our driveway all the way around the house...we finally enlisted the help of my parents and it went a bit quicker. Moving a few tons of rock is no easy take.

Do keep watering those new plants -I'm proud to say all my perenials are finally up and blooming. There were a couple I was really starting to wonder about :)

It looks wonderful. Last time I saw the area it was in the being stages. Well, the finish product looks GREAT!
