Decorating Oliver's Room...

I'm finally creating a few things for the baby's room!! i've had this idea in my mind for quite some time now...and last night i finally started it! On Saturday, Liz and i went shopping in Mankato and i bought the 8 clipboards i needed for the baby's room. My idea (which i kind of took from a flickr photo i saw!!) is to decorate each clipboard really cute and then clip photos of the baby and our little family up on them once he is here!! i hope it works. 2 rows of 4...hanging above the changing table. Here are a couple of the clipboards that we worked on last night.

i started working on the first one while brandon was playing guitar in the baby's room (yes, the room is more of a guitar room still!!). and after awhile brandon came into the living room to see what i was up to...he thought the clipboards were so cute. so i asked if he wanted to create one too...his eyes got all big like a kid in the candy store and started rummaging through all my scrapbook stuff to start his clipboard!

(this one is my favourite...with Oliver's name on it!!)

This is the clipboard that Brandon decorated..."ten tiny toes". he said he has an idea for the photo that he wants to clip up there...he's so excited!

This is the 5th one...not quite finished yet. but i was just too tired to finish it last night!

hmmm...so much for my clean living room! i was doing so good with keeping it nice and tidy...but i wanted to sit on the couch and scrapbook...more comfortable when you're preggers!
So this is how i left the house looking last night when i went to bed...i'm so embarrassed.

I think these clipboards will be really cute on the wall --- when you described them over the phone the other day, I couldn't quite visualize *exactly* what you meant - but I think they'll look neat. Good job, guys...

I LOVE them!! And Brandon did a great job too! I'm so excited to see!! You better invest in a TON of picture CD's!! And maybe don't even need to paint walls anymore since they'll be covered with photos of sweet Oliver!

You are so creative! I've started slowly gathering things up as well. I've got a couple of days off in December and I'm hoping I can work on the room some more then. Have a good Thanksgiving!!
