two little teeth

Little Oliver has 2 teeth!! Both on the bottom...super cute! He cut his first one a couple weeks ago and now his second one has popped through too!!

there they are!! still kind of low to the gums, but you can see them when he smiles!!

6 months old...

okay...he still has 9 days to go, but it's close enough!!
tonight i dressed him up in his new clothes and had him looking all super cute...and then put his new pumpkins around him on the blanket for some photos! yesterday we stopped at the farmer's market and bought oliver's first pumpkin!! oh, so cute!!

he was super fascinated with the pumpkins!!
he wouldn't take him eyes off them for more than a couple seconds!!

my little boy is becoming a big boy...he can now sit up all by himself, roll over from his back to his tummy, has one tooth and is working on the other, is babbling all the time, smiles more than ever and melts our hearts everyday!!

Tonight i took a few photos of Oliver and Daddy...Ollie is now 6 months old!! So he was due for some more photos!! Here are my two favourites!

my messy little eater...

oh my goodness...this little man had become such a messy little eater!! he was doing just too good with being a clean eater...and now all that has changed!! while feeding him his carrots the other night he would spit some of them back out and before i could scoop them up with the spoon they would land on his tummy...and then his little fingers would go in to his mouth and get dirty and then he would promptly rub his eyes!! silly little guy!! sure made me laugh when i saw this little guy at the end of his dinner time!!

yes, we have a sippy cup for him now...he loves to drink from it!!
he's just growing up way too fast!!

little monster!

on saturday morning liz, jenny and i went shopping at the medford outlet mall!! lots of really good deals on super cute clothes! i think i bought 5x more than oliver really needed!!
here are one of the pajamas i bought for him...little monster jammies!

in size 18 months too!! i can't believe it...they fit pretty darn well! and i have to admit that i didn't wash them first...i didn't have any clean jammies for him to wear...so i just pulled these out of the bag and put them on him. so after they are washed i'm sure they will shrink a bit too!

he looooves playing with his toes! lay him on the floor or try to change his diaper...and his toes go up and his little hands grab them! even at 5 in the morning when he wakes for a little snack...i change his diaper first and with his eyes closed still his little leggies go up and his little fingers grab a hold of his toes!! silly little monster!

just chillin' with mom in his bedroom while brandon and patty were recording songs in the livingroom. only wearing his cloth diaper...the best way to be!! such a serious little guy!!

his shirt finally fits him!! while i was still preggers with ollie, i bought a little onesie for him that says, "i'm a lil' ankeny"!! super cute!! we were in ankeny, iowa...and i had to buy him something that said our last name!! if you look close enough it really says "ankeny hawks" for their town sports team...but, hey, it says our last name!! cool beans!

Oliver has found his toes! He loves to lean over while sitting up and grabbing at his toes! And when he is laying on the floor he loves to pull his leggies up play with his toes!

learning new things...

Often at work i will give Oliver a drink of water from my cup...mostly because he is grabbing for my cup!! He loves drinking from the cup...yes, most of the water winds up coming back out and running down his chin! but he does drink a little bit!! So, tonight after dinner i put a little water in his sippy cup and gave it to him! Well, first i attempted to hold onto the cup and help him drink from it...but his little hands were all over the cup and he wanted to hold it!! He did alright with it! He managed to put it in his mouth...but it flowed waaay too fast for him and he wound up choking over it a couple of times! And the majority of the water was soaked up by his shirt!!

well, brandon found a way to be on the computer while watching oliver!! i walked into the living room the other day and found oliver sitting on brandon's shoulders!! super cute!! he was having so much fun just sitting up there watching the computer screen! a new angle to the screen perhaps?? ollie is growing up sooo fast!! he's looking so much older than he really is!

my sleeping babe

for ollie's naps while we are at work...i have been laying him on the floor-model beds! not the most ideal place for him to take a nap...but he won't sleep in his pack-n-play lately! he sleeps on the bed that is closest to the frame shoppe's wall...so i can just peek over to check on him! i took this photo the other day...i thought he was sooo cute...his lips were sticking up funny like because he was laying on his arm! (i usually have him laying on a blanket...but my preggo brain has not gone away, in fact i believe it has become worse!! so...i had forgotten to bring a blanket that day!)

this is how i found brandon and oliver when i came home from a photo shoot last night. i think brandon was desperate to make oliver stop crying after he woke up from his nap...so he took the mirror off the wall from the entryway and leaned it up against the couch. oliver was having fun looking at himself and daddy in the mirror! oliver would push himself up, look at himself and start to smile!!
he must think he looks funny i guess!!

yes, brandon is really getting into playing with oliver...making silly faces in the mirror too!!
