Busy Busy Busy

i feel like i haven't had any time to post anything new lately! Brandon and i just bought Barb's custom framing, so we have been busy getting ready to have that store, moving everything over and {organizing}!! The big move was yesterday...it went very well actually! Luckily Bruce and Bonnie offered their helping hands and of course Barb helped with lots too!! From start to finish i think it only took about 4-4 1/2 hours. Not too bad. We still have 3 big things to move over, but i have to clear a little space before we have room for those! We finished yesterday right around dinner time, so we ordered a couple large pizzas up at the coffee shoppe...yum!

i would take a photo of the space...but it looks *really* bad right now! Mats everywhere (although much better from yesterday!) and just "things" here and there...soon it will all be put in its proper place!

So that is really all that is new with Brandon and myself...the new {Eighth Street Framing} business!!

**Wish us Luck!!

*The* Wheat Thin

Look at this!! i bought a box of wheat thins the other day and we brought them with on our "day away". And this is what we found in the box...a huge Wheat Thin! Looked like 4 crackers glued together! Just had to take a photo of it!

Brandon looks a little drunk in this photo...he wasn't! It was taken in the morning and he had a cold...so his eyes were a little glossy!

What a beauty!

me...enjoying some Wheat Thins while driving home!

Lake Lilian Gig

The band played up at a winery in Lake Lilian last Saturday. A really neat place...an old middle school converted into a winery with the gym turned into a dinner hall. The band did a really good job with all their songs...the crowd was pretty slim unfortunately. But they had a fun time, so that's what mattered most!

Lake Lilian was about 2 1/2 hours from home for us, so Brandon and i decided we would spend the night in Hutchinson. We were going to meet some friends for the concert and then spend the night and de-daddle around the town the next morning, but they weren't able to meet us. Then we were going to just drive home like most of the other band members. But, Brandon and i decided we needed to take a day just for ourselves. Away from home, away from Blue Earth...just away! So we spent the night in Hutch and slept in (hence the photo below!) and cruised over to the Cities the next morning and went to IKEA. It was a fun day. We were exhausted...Brandon had a bad cold and pretty much used up what little bit of his voice he had left singing...and i had been out 'till 2 in the morning the night before and up very late the night of the gig. We were able to sleep in until close to 10a, so that was a little helpful...poor Brandon didn't sleep too well...as for me, i can sleep through pretty anything!

Even though we were exhausted...we still had a fun day toodling around! And it felt *great* to have a day where it was only Brandon and i!

Just to clarify...this self-portrait was taken before i had any make-up on!!

Liz turns **{30}**

The big night out!! Liz turned 30 on the 4th...so she invited a bunch of girls to go out to Mankato and have dinner and drinks with her. a fun night. Really it started on the 3rd when Liz and i went dress shopping in Fairmont. She wanted a new dress for the night, so we went to Maurices and found an adorable, little, black-n-white dress! There were 5 of us that went to Olive Garden for dinner...and then to the Wine Cafe for drinks...and then to the Bandanna Brewery to meet up with Liz's co-workers from the hospital. a very fun night!

Happy Birthday, Liz!

today's clothes

i thought it might be fun to dress up a little for work today...why? just because. i've been wearing pretty much only jeans and a shirt all week, so i wanted to switch things up a little and try to look nice. complete with curling my hair and putting a few necklaces on!!
(note: the unmade bed behind me!!...spent too much time on myself this morning!!)

a thought...

i looked at my blog tonight and decided that it has turned into more of a photography blog than a scrapbooking blog!! but i like it...no, i *love* it!! i wasn't too good at keeping up with writing all the new stuff that was happening in my life, so i guess i just show it through photos! i like this way! i have fallen in love with photography! i can't help it...it just happened!

*but anyhow...since i don't like to post lots of "words" i'll keep this short since my hubby is waiting for me! we are going to eat tonight...we have pretty much no food in the house!! a few bottles of water, pellegrino water, spinach, carrots, and a few wraps are what you would find in our refrigerator!! (and probably a few out-dated items!!)
but, i'm starving so i off to Double Play we go...

Little baby Lola in her little yellow dress for Easter...

*loved* the yellow polka-dot bow

photos of fletcher

Also on Monday while taking Lola's 2 month photos, i also too Fletcher's 2 year photos! Also a cute little guy! So, before going over to Jenny's house, i thought..."what should i bring to keep his attention for the photo shoot and possible use in the photos too?" Balloons! So i went to the green house and bought a blue and turquoise balloon. Well, it didn't work quite as i had hoped. Looking on Flickr i had found some of the most adorable photos of little kids holding balloons...yep...i think those kids were older!! Fletcher loved the balloons for sure....he just liked to play with them too much!! So i got a couple shots like the one below!! Silly boy!! At least he liked the balloons! (Maybe we'll try the balloons in another year!!)

He looks too old to only be 2 years!!

Cute!

He kept laughing...and it made a great photo!

looking outside for his puppy

Lola is 2 months old already!!

Jenny's little girl, Lola, is already 2 months old!! Time flies...it doesn't feel like that long ago when i was taking maternity photos of Jenny. Well, this little girl is just adorable! Big blue eyes and lots of hair. She is so much fun to hold and cuddle with! Here are a few photos from the photo shoot i did on Monday...enjoy!

Thursday...

Here is my outfit from Thursday...The brown shirt is a new one that i found when Liz and i went shopping in Mankato. It was a great deal...only $2.97 at jcpenney's!! i like it because the label has my name on it...kind of..."a.n.a"...close enough for me at least!!

colour correcting...

okay, okay...i'm guilty of using iPhoto to make my photography look better!!
don't get me wrong...i absolutely *love* the way my new Nikon takes photos...but sometimes i would like the photo to have a warmer feel to it. After doing the photo shoot of Tea and Addison, Brandon asked how much i had warmed the yellow on the walls. so i was curious to do a comparison in colours...and this is what i found! (prob quite obvious but the corrected one is on the right!!)

very interesting...

mirror

i had thought about doing the "photo-a-day" on flickr...but i'm not completely convinced that i would be successful with it! so here are a couple photos at an attempt to do a "self-portrait" in a "unique" way...

while sitting at the iMac at the shoppe the bathroom mirror is just through the doorway...there is something rather goofy about it...almost like the mirror is "bent". If you are really close to it the image is fine, but the farther away you back up the more distorted it becomes! perhaps it's just old! so i thought it might just make a neat photo...(yes it's supposed to be blurry and not sharp!!)
*enjoy

Baby Lola

i just finished this little book this afternoon...

i thought i might put the items that were used for this book together for the March Kit here at the shoppe. i wanted to have a "project" completed to display everything that was in the Kit this time...so i decided to do this one. i absolutely *love* the photos, Lola is so adorable, and after i display it for awhile i will give it to Jenny!
*enjoy!

a fun morning...

This morning i got to go take photos for Tami...of her two little kids Tea and Addison. They were a lot of fun!! i got quite a few really nice ones of the kids and of course some that were quite "funny"! Here are a few of the photos from the shoot...hope you enjoy! xoxo

Tea with her pink stripped tights on...so adorable!

Addison...not too sure about me a first, but we almost became "buddies" toward the end!

Taking photos with their own digital camera...lucky, theirs was pink!!

Tea loved to pose...this one makes her look a little sassy!

and i got one of Tami!! After Tea finished wearing my sunglasses she wanted her mom to put them on...great photo of Tami!
