more of the storm...

Here are more photos from our adventure of watching the storm! i altered these photos on the computer a little...changed them to sepia tone! These photos show how it dark it really was...the first posting of the coloured photos does not show how dark the sky was...it was awesome!!

storm...

This afternoon the sirens went off in Blue Earth for a tornado!! So we turned the radio on and they announced that the storm was north of us and moving south-east...with rotation in the sky!! So really nothing to worry about...if anything we were going to get the edge of the storm. But of course i was excited! So Bruce, Brandon and i went outside and watched the dark clouds move toward town...beautiful! And then...Brandon and i went for a little drive! Since the storm was in Winnebago and moving south-east we headed up on 169 toward the neighboring town ...we saw some beautiful clouds! i was able to take a few photos while driving...once we reached Winnebago there was a haze over the entire town...rain! And did it downpour!! The storm had left the town by the time we reached it...so we turned around once we hit the rain...then we had to drive through hail!! My poor little car...i don't think it dented it...but there were some good sized hail pieces bouncing off the road...at least quarter sized! Watching it hit the grass it would bounce back into the air a couple feet...it was definitely coming down with force!! i was in my glory watching the storm clouds!! i love these photos...

A cop watching the storm roll in and giving updates...

my store...

Scrappy's...Now Open!! Here is the scrapbook store we have been working hard at!! i wanted the shoppe to have a "scrapbook room" feel more than a "store"...i think we accomplished that!! And the nice thing...i can use anything i want from the furniture store to make it have more of a "comfortable feel"!! All the furniture is still for sale...so when it sells...i get to choose another piece to bring in!!

Our Grand Opening is going to be Thursday the 28th! We are going to have a ribbon cutting and everything!! i am very excited!!

Rusty Pickle line...Princess Bride.
Making Memories line...Fresh Anthology.
Basic Grey...Scarlet Letter, Pheobe, and Stella Ruby.
American Crafts...lots of goodies!

my new style...

Here we go...my new look! i got my hair totally chopped off! i have had long hair for a long time now and i thought a different look for a new chapter in my life would be good! i found a photo from the movie sweet home alabama and took that to a beautician here in town and asked her to cut away!! i love it though...i was afraid that i would cry over my hair being chopped...but i really like it and it's so easy! was it in the morning and if i want the ends flipped out more than how it naturally dries just a little blow dry and
viola...it's perfect!!

(yep...self portraits!!)

this little group...

Bruce...me...Kathy...we were having fun...bonnie was with us having fun too...but she doesn't like me to take her photo! So she took this photo of the three of us! A lot of the photos didn't turn out as clear as i had hoped...because it was dark and with the band lights...perhaps i should read my camera manual!!
Kathy, Bonnie and i are always together when the band plays...the band members wives (well, i'm close to being a wife...fiance works for now!!) Sometimes the husbands of the band ladies will come and join our little group!!

red lipstick band...

The band had a gig last week in a small town at a small mexican restaurant. They sounded great and we all had fun...but it was not a good turn out! The restaurant was a dive...bonnie and i were scared to eat there and use the bathrooms! But we ate there and we didn't die! (The taco meat was severely burned though!!) But...hey...it will be great for memories!!

They had a really neat set-up...interesting back drop...it was fun!
Brandon...singing one of his songs...i think it was his new one...
Faith on the Table-Martin Sexton.

Bruce...i love this photo...it shows a lot of action!
Debbie...the leader of the band
Shelly...doing a great job with her song...Sandy standing behind her. Sandy usually plays piano, but in this song she plays bass.
Jay playing his banjo...
Scott working the sound board!
The drummer...James
Jay and Kathy...a sweet couple...i love chatting with Kathy while the band is setting up and doing sound check and all their little things! She is a sweet lady!

james...

One evening Brandon and i got to babysit for a friend down here...Liz (such a sweet-heart and a great scrapbooker!) We were able to watch James...3 months old. Such a cutie! He was all smiles for the first hour Brandon and i were with him...then he started crying! He cried a lot. But the poor little fellow has an allergy to milk and Liz had just started to put a little dairy back into her diet...he didn't like it too much! But the night was fun and i took some cute photos of the little guy!

road trip...

On the road...gotta love 4-lane highways! Brandon and i would drive next to each other and roll the windows down and take photos of each other...to put in our scrapbook of this road trip!! Yes, we are crazy...good thing there were no cops around! i'll re-post this post after i upload a photo from brandon's camera. Our trip to blue earth was fun...even though we were in separate cars we still would communicate with us each...zoom up next to each other and sign words back and forth, call to say which song was on a good station, text something sweet back and forth. This is defiantly a road trip that i will remember!!

Traveling...

Finally i am blogging!! So much has come about since the last time i have posted! i moved to Blue Earth on June 1st!! Here are a couple photos of Brandon and my journey down to B.E. We stopped at an old junk yard and took some photos...i love these old cars! Yes, i know there is a photo of a Ford in here...but i took more Chevy photos!!

**aimee**

My friend, Aimee, is also getting married this summer! She and Derek were engaged a few days before Christmas and have a July wedding date set. It is July 7th, 2007 (07-07-07) isn't that neat!! She is very excited about planning her wedding and already has lots of details worked out! Last week she and her mom and a couple of her bridesmaids went wedding dress shopping...i did not go with because it was just a couple of days before Shasta's wedding...and she found her dress! So a couple of days ago i went with Aimee and her mom to go look at her dress! And of course i brought my camera with!! These are some of my favourite photos from that shoot...

i altered this photo...it was in colour so i made two photos and blended them together to get just some of the colour to come through...
This picture captures both Aimee's engagement ring and the details from the veil she tried on. The detail work of beads from the veil matches her wedding dress!
A better picture of Aimee's princess wedding gown and how it looks with a veil....

Brandon...looked sooo nice on Saturday! Such a cute guy! Such a silly guy for these pictures too!

Going...
Going...
Gone!

**dancing**

The time at the reception was sooo much fun! Of course the place was decorated very nicely and everything went very smoothly as far as the dinner and toasts went. Then came time for the dance...Jon and Shasta started out with their first dance and then Shasta and Dad danced and then Jon and Becky had their dance. The hokie-pokie was played for the kids and the wedding party danced it with them...so much fun. A couple polka songs for the older generation that was present! They all loved that! The macarena!! That was fun! And then my favourite genre of music...country!! All of Jon's cousins were there...and they are from down by the farm so they loved country music too...yep, it was a great party!!

Shasta, Ceara, Marissa, Brandon, Ted and myself dancing together!
i think this one was toward the end of the evening...Ted and i were having a great time singing a song i guess...i don't even remember which one it was!!
i think Lisa took this picture...i have no idea what i was doing!! All i know is that i was having a great time...i think this was after i had a few Coronas and was on a role with dancing to every song and with everybody!!
Our boy, Ted!! He was our videographer that night...can't wait to see the videos!! Shasta and i struck a pose with him!
The Train!! We all did this a few times...we were having a good time!
Here is Shasta holding onto Colleen with Marissa (so sweet) holding onto the bride!! Ted and Laura are follwing!

**pictures from the wedding**
